VJ Loop Studio 3D uses limited data to verify purchases, operate one-device license activation, provide support, and deliver contact-form messages.
License activation
When you activate the software, the license API receives the Gumroad license key, the email used at checkout, an application version, a device name, and a device fingerprint. The API verifies the purchase with Gumroad.
The server stores the purchase email, an encrypted copy of the license key, keyed hashes of the license key and device fingerprint, activation status, application version, device name, and activation/verification timestamps. Raw device fingerprints are not stored. Security logs may include the purchase email and shortened hashes, but not the raw key or fingerprint.
The desktop stores an activation token, purchase email, license status, and application version in its local configuration directory. The activation token is stored only as a keyed hash on the server.
Third-party services
- Gumroad processes payment, delivers the purchase, and verifies license keys.
- Un-static Forms delivers messages submitted through the website contact form.
Those services process data under their own privacy terms.
Retention and requests
Activation records are retained while needed to operate the license, prevent simultaneous device use, handle resets, and support the purchase. Use the contact page to request help with an activation or ask about stored information.
